Iv.Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) – Partner #3 organized the Start up seminar of the project “RedMarLitter” funded within Black Sea Basin ENI Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020, held in Tbilisi, at TSU, on 28-th of September, 2018 following the GA – Communication objectives.
Participants of the Start up seminar of the project “RedMarLitter” consist of the students, staff members and representatives of research laboratories of TSU. The start up seminar aimed to inform audience about the new project, arise the public awareness, promote Black Sea problems and European input into the issue.
The project goal, objectives and tasks were presented, that aims to elaborate new approaches and methods to reduce and mitigate the problem of pollution of the Black Sea with marine litter.
During the discussion followed, all participants expressed their interest to the issues presented and actively commented information presented, in particular, it was mentioned, that:
- It is necessary to increase the level of awareness and responsibility of society in regard of the Black Sea problems;
- Participation of young people in cleaning up activities is not sufficient enough;
